Job Description

Bonilla and Chapa, P.C. is a personal injury law firm representing clients throughout Texas for decades. We are seeking an experienced Legal Secretary to join our Harlingen, Texas office location. This position is a full-time, on-site position. The ideal candidate will have work experience in a law office handling personal injury claims, which may also include litigation support. The position requires prior experience requesting medical records, scheduling client medical appointments, preparing correspondence and file memorandums, and organizing and updating client files. The candidate will have a passion for helping others and will be able to work independently as well as part of a team. Good communication skills are important with self-reliance and ability to follow up with various tasks.

Serious inquiries only will be considered, with prior experience in the field of personal injury legal/staff support.

Job Requirements Must be able to read, write and speak English fluently Must be able to follow instructions and meet deadlines Must have a positive attitude and professionalism Must possess strong organizational skills and the ability to follow procedures. Must be reliable, punctual, and trustworthy. Must possess the ability to follow written and verbal instructions. Must be able to work independently with minimal supervision. This position requires the ability to handle confidential information as well as maintain strong communication with co-workers, clients, attorneys, doctors, nurses, etc.

Must have prior experience in personal injury staff support

Job Type: Full-time

Pay: $14.00 - $18.00 per hour

Schedule:

8 hour shift
