The Opportunity
This position works onsite out of our Pleasanton, CA location in the Heart Failure Division. In Abbott's Heart Failure (HF) business, we're developing solutions to diagnose, monitor and manage heart failure, allowing people to restore their health and get on with their lives.
This role provides administrative support to the business in support of key objectives, milestones and timelines.
What You'll Work On
Provide administrative support to business.
Performs general administrative duties as assigned which may include completing expense reports, telephone support,
filing, and special projects.
Collects and compiles data for management review using MS applications.
May be responsible for coordinating with others in maintaining department budgets. Tracks expenditures of the
department as assigned.
Manages and coordinates various projects as needed.
Support all Company initiatives as identified by management and in support of Quality Management Systems (QMS),
Environmental Management Systems (EMS), and other regulatory requirements.
Complies with U.S. Food and Drug Administration (FDA) regulations, other regulatory requirements, Company policies,
operating procedures, processes, and task assignments. Maintains positive and cooperative communications and
collaboration with all levels of employees, customers, contractors, and vendors.
Performs other related duties and responsibilities, on occasion, as assigned.
Works with our various vendors & suppliers
May coordinates the visits for our suppliers to perform inventory and reorder functions.
Orders non-inventory consumable items.
Works with Accounting dept. to approve and close out PO's for payment.
May assigns lockers to employees and performs locker audits.
May be trained in the Sterile Packaging dept. as well as in the Cleanroom for both acute and chronic product lines.
May organize lunches with visitors and company events.
Required Qualifications
High School Diploma / GED ? an equivalent combination of education and work
Minimum 5 years Administrative support
Experience working in a broader enterprise/cross-division business unit model preferred.
Able to maintain strict confidentiality.
Ability to meet deadlines on multiple assignments/projects and operate with a sense of
urgency as required.
Possesses excellent judgment and initiative to make independent decisions.
Ability to work outside of standard business hours in support of department as needed.
Exhibits strong organizational skills.
Excellent interpersonal, written and verbal communication skills.
Demonstrates high attention to detail.
Ability to work cooperatively and productively with all levels of employees.
Computer proficient with advanced capabilities to utilize MS Word, PowerPoint, MS
Project and Excel.
Ability to work in a highly matrixed and geographically diverse business environment.
Ability to work within a team and as an individual contributor in a fast-paced, changing
environment.
Ability to leverage and/or engage others to accomplish projects.
Strong verbal and written communications with ability to effectively communicate at
multiple levels in the organization.
Multitasks, prioritizes and meets deadlines in timely manner.
Strong organizational and follow-up skills, as well as attention to detail.
Ability to maintain regular and predictable attendance.
Occasional or regularly scheduled overtime is a requirement of this position.

The base pay for this position is $22.30 - $44.60 per hour. In specific locations, the pay range may vary from the range posted.
