Description

We are looking for a detail-oriented Accounts Payable Specialist to join our team on a contract-to-hire basis in Brooklyn Park, Minnesota. In this role, you will play a vital part in managing financial transactions, ensuring accuracy in invoice processing, and maintaining strong relationships with vendors. This position offers an excellent opportunity to contribute to the operations of a leading machinery manufacturing company.

Responsibilities:

Process and verify invoices, ensuring accurate coding and adherence to company policies.

Manage accounts payable workflows, including Automated Clearing House (ACH) transactions and check runs.

Maintain detailed records of financial transactions and vendor communications.

Collaborate with internal teams to resolve discrepancies and ensure timely payments.

Facilitate vendor management by coordinating with multiple suppliers and addressing payment inquiries.

Utilize Microsoft Excel to generate reports and track payable activities.

Conduct regular audits of accounts payable processes to ensure compliance and efficiency.

Assist in the preparation of financial documentation for internal and external reviews.

Monitor payment schedules and deadlines to avoid late fees or penalties.

Contribute to process improvements within the accounts payable department.

Requirements - Proven experience in accounts payable or a related financial role.

Proficiency in invoice coding and processing.

Familiarity with Automated Clearing House (ACH) transactions and check runs.

Strong skills in Microsoft Excel, including data analysis and reporting.

Ability to manage multiple vendor accounts effectively.

Excellent attention to detail and organizational abilities.

Strong communication skills for interacting with vendors and internal teams.

Knowledge of financial compliance standards and best practices.
