Accounts Payable Specialist

Description We are looking for a detail-oriented Accounts Payable Specialist to join our team on a contract basis in Bannockburn, Illinois. This role requires exceptional organizational skills and the ability to manage multiple tasks in a hybrid work environment. You will play a critical part in ensuring smooth operations, working with financial systems, and maintaining accurate payment processes.

Responsibilities:

Process and verify accounts payable transactions to ensure accuracy and compliance with company policies.

Collaborate with external vendors and internal departments to resolve discrepancies and maintain strong working relationships.

Utilize accounting software systems, including SAP and ERP tools, to manage payment workflows.

Conduct banking verifications and address pricing updates in Coupa software.

Support supplier enablement activities, ensuring timely and accurate vendor onboarding.

Generate reports and assist with project-related tasks to streamline operations.

Maintain meticulous records and uphold data integrity in all financial processes.

Manage tight deadlines and prioritize tasks effectively to meet organizational goals.

Provide coverage for team members during transitional periods and absences.

Participate in training sessions to stay updated on evolving processes and systems. Requirements

Minimum of 3 years of experience in accounts payable or a similar financial role.

Proficiency in SAP, ERP platforms, and other accounting software systems.

Strong understanding of payment verification processes and vendor management.

Excellent attention to detail and organizational skills.

Ability to work independently and collaboratively in a hybrid work environment.

Familiarity with Coupa software and master data governance tools.

Effective time management skills to handle high-volume workloads.

Strong communication skills to liaise with vendors and internal teams.

The salary range for this position is $25.00 to $29.00. Benefits available to contract/temporary professionals, include medical, vision, dental, and life and disability insurance.
