C.H. Robinson is seeking a? Software Engineer II ?on our? LTL Tech divisional team . You will be responsible for delivering solutions to our business users to help them efficiently and effectively manage their freight network. In this role, you will evaluate requirements, estimate tasks, and write codes that meets performance, quality, business, and security objectives. You'll collaborate with other software engineers and product managers to solve complex problems, improve our development processes, and stay current with emerging technologies, including artificial intelligence and machine learning.
As a Software Engineer II, you take on more ownership in the development lifecycles. You'll help shape technical solutions, continuously improve our engineering practices, and receive mentorship from more experienced engineers. Responsibilities: ?
Design, develop, and maintain scalable software solutions that meet performance, quality, and security standards.
Collaborate with cross-functional teams to translate business requirements into technical specifications and solutions.
Estimate development tasks and identify dependencies to support planning and delivery.
Write clean, maintainable code and contribute to code reviews to ensure high quality and consistency.
Develop and maintain unit, integration, and acceptance tests to ensure code reliability.
Troubleshoot and optimize system performance and availability.
Leverage AI tools like GitHub Copilot to enhance development efficiency.
Contribute to continuous improvement of development processes and team practices.
Apply observability best practices and use APM tools (e.g., Datadog, Grafana) to monitor application performance, troubleshoot issues, and ensure system reliability.
Required Qualifications: ?
2+ years of professional software development experience.
2+ year of experience in Object-oriented programming (e.g., C#, .NET); experience with front-end frameworks such as Angular or React is a plus
Experience with RESTful APIs and HTTP
Experience with Relational or non-relational databases (e.g., SQL, MongoDB)
Experience with Version control systems (e.g., Git, GitHub)
Experience in writing and maintaining tests (unit, integration, acceptance)
Bachelor's degree in Computer Science or related field, or equivalent experience

Experience with System integration projects or global projects?
Transportation, logistics, or business systems?
Agile or Lean methodologies
Building cloud native applications and services (ex. Azure, AWS, GCP)?
Data streaming and messaging architecture and frameworks (ex. Kafka, RabbitMQ, ESB)?
AI/ML tools or concepts (e.g., Semantic Kernel, scikit-learn, TensorFlow)
Self-motivated and able to work with minimal supervision
Possess solid communication skills and strong customer focus?

Compensation Range
$75,900.00 - $168,500.00
