Job Description

The Senior Catering Sales Manager,Morton Aboretum will work closely with the Director of Event Sales to manage and maintain convention, corporate and social catering accounts; manage and organize Sales Manager?s workflow; meet or exceed budgeted revenue goals and to ultimately aid in conducting a successful event.

COMPENSATION: The salary range for this position is $70,000 to $75,000. If both numbers are the same, that is the amount that Aramark expects to offer. This is Aramark?s good faith and reasonable estimate of the compensation for this position as of the time of posting.

Job Responsibilities

Be proactive in all account site visits and needs in the absence of the Director of Event Sales.

Handle more complex and detailed events

Handle Key accounts

Oversee entire events sales process through day of event execution

Lead generations, responding to customer inquiries, developing proposals and contracts

Maximize revenue through upselling and offering enhancements to exceed client expectations

Develop and maintain effective client and customer rapport, providing creative solutions to clients' needs, managing event details, tours, tastings, contracts, payments, and event operations

Create, manage, and communicate banquet event orders, connect with vendors, and deliver consistent quality in planning and carrying out events

Collaborate with culinary and operations departments on menu development, event detailing, and event execution

Ensure accurate reporting of all catering related revenue, expenses, and receivables that pertain to your own customers and events

Ensure certification compliance with all food, occupational and environmental safety policies

Assist the Director of Events in training new sales team members and develop the team to ensure standards are met.

Qualifications

Bachelor?s degree in hospitality management or related discipline, and/or equivalent professional experience

1-3 years in the hospitality industry, with experience in catering or banquets preferred

Good organizational and presentation skills

Ability to effectively communicate with diverse clients and staff

Knowledge of menu planning and food presentation

Skilled in banquet and event service operations

Ability to balance multiple tasks while being creative and having a proactive approach to sales

Good Communication and project management skills
