Housekeeping Room Attendant

PRIMARY RESPONSIBILITES:

Clean guest rooms (stripping bed and linens, emptying trash, cleaning mirrors, dusting furniture, etc.)

Clean and sanitize guest bathroom (clean commodes, tubs, floors, marble counter tops, walls, mirrors, etc.)

Gather trash, waste. Properly dispose items into approved disposal area as specified by Housekeeping Management.

Ensure all lost, found items have been tagged and delivered the Housekeeping Department Managers for logging.

Inspect rooms for needed repairs, and for completion of cleaning.

Report any damage to furniture or fixtures to the Director of Rooms or Housekeeping Supervisor on duty.

Verify the appropriate use of cleaning products, as defined by the Material Safety Data sheets, prior to their intended use.

Arrange furniture, bedding, fixtures, and amenities in the room according to the standardized room setting.

Replenish all housekeeping items as necessary or requested. Examples: bath robe, slippers, towels, tissue, bath mat, bedding, hangers, pillows, toiletries.

Perform all dusting and vacuuming in accordance to standards.

Inspect the guest room, working in a clockwise manner, recording which duties have been completed.

Replace clean towels on racks.

Place proper quantities of room accessories according to standards.

Operate a light vacuum.

Follow pet, smoke, and bug procedures as explained by manager.

Follow all safety and security policies, procedures.

Prioritize the rooms based upon guest requests, arrivals, etc.

Complete all special projects that are requested by manager.

Deep clean assigned guest room once a year as per schedule and procedure.

JOB SPECIFICATIONS:

Lifting up to 50 pounds

Requires manual dexterity to complete housekeeping tasks such as dusting, vacuuming, moving furniture, making beds, changing bed linens, polishing bathroom fixtures, and cleaning floors.

You must have the ability to communicate verbally and in writing with the guest, coworkers, and managers.

You must have the ability to use stairs and service elevators to move throughout the building.
