Summary You will serve as a in the ADMINISTRATIVE SUPPORT ASSISTANT (CPPA) in the Surface Warfare Engineering School Command (SWESC) Great Lakes of SURFACE WARFARE SCHOOLS COMMAND. Responsibilities You will ensure all documents and information for personnel and pay support are relayed to the appropriate supporting organization. You will research rules, regulations, and procedures to resolve questions or issues. You will operate automated computer systems to maintain and update electronic records and data. You will determine specific action to take to correct discrepancies, errors or problems following instructions and procedures. You will perform duties as a Command Pay and Personnel Administrator (CPPA). Requirements Conditions of Employment Qualifications Your resume must demonstrate at least one year of specialized experience at or equivalent to the GS-05 grade level or pay band in the Federal service or equivalent experience in the private or public sector. Specialized experience must demonstrate the following: 1) Ensuring all documents and information required to provide student personnel or pay support are relayed to the appropriate supporting organization. 2) Providing a full range of clerical and administrative and customer services including general administration, office automation, and clerical support. 3) Assuring accuracy of CeTARS database input for all students' personnel and notify the appropriate personnel in a timely fashion when discrepancies are detected. Education Additional Information This position is covered by the Department of Defense Priority Placement Program. Additional vacancies may be filled by this announcement. May be required to be available after hours for surge or during holiday stand-down period. Occasionally will be required to receive job related training or assist during audits.
