Controller

Job Description

The Controller will oversee accounting activities and ensure the accuracy of financial reporting, while collaborating with department heads to meet the organization's financial information needs. This role includes managing month-end processes, improving management reporting, and offering strategic insights for budgeting and forecasting.

Responsibilities

Manage all accounting-related activities and oversee the month-end process, ensuring accurate reports are prepared for management.

Supervise daily transactions including accounts payable, receivables, payroll, bookkeeping, and reconciliations.

Track, analyze, and report budget variance while identifying potential business risks.

Revamp management reporting to provide timely and relevant information to department heads.

Develop annual operating budgets and prepare quarterly forecasts for the management team.

Provide insights into business performance and assist in developing long-term financial strategies.

Ensure compliance with government reporting and tax liabilities, collaborating with external tax consultants.

Assist with year-end audits and stay updated on industry best practices and regulatory changes.

Participate in special projects and provide financial advice as assigned by senior management.

Supervise accounting staff, facilitate training, and manage key external relationships.

Engage with stakeholders globally and build trust through effective communication.

Essential Skills

Degree in Accounting or Finance.

7+ years of accounting experience, including close management and reporting.

Experience in cost accounting and/or manufacturing.

Proficiency in QuickBooks and Zoho.

Strong skills in general ledger, reconciliation, financial reporting, and budgeting.

Additional Skills & Qualifications

Familiarity with IRFS is a plus.

Proficiency in Excel, including pivot tables.

Pay and Benefits

The pay range for this position is $140000.00 - $150000.00/yr.
