Job Summary

The Customer Service Associate I is responsible for greeting visitors to Kenaitze Indian Tribe's Family and Social Services programs in a friendly, professional and helpful way. The Assistant is responsible for answering and routing calls, coordinating incoming and outgoing mail, handling inquiries from the public, and monitoring access to the building by visitors.

Essential Functions

Greet clients (un'ina) and visitors to the Tribe and notify applicable staff member of their arrival. Direct un'ina as appropriate

Responsible for unlocking and locking the Na'ini building at the start and close of the business day

Answer main phone line and direct calls to appropriate staff, and when necessary take appropriate messages

Provide tribal program applications to un'ina as requested; when applications/proofs are received from the un'ina, date stamp and submit to appropriate staff

Responsible for accepting/processing all invoices, receipts and check requests to accounting software

Responsible for inventory and ordering of all office supplies

Schedule appointments for programs as requested

Acts as a backup for Social Services Intake position in their absence

Maintain office copy machines, supplies and coordinating service calls for repair

Schedule venue, create agendas, sign-in sheets and minutes for department meetings

Ensures compliance with Tribal, federal, state, and local employment laws and regulations, Tribal policies and TERO ordinance
