What you'll do:
As a Trade Finance and Cash Management Associate based in Hong Kong, you will immerse yourself in a highly collaborative environment where your ability to connect with clients and colleagues alike will be essential. Your day-to-day responsibilities will involve supporting the growth of trade finance and cash management services for both global corporates and FI. You will be instrumental in structuring innovative solutions tailored to client needs while ensuring profitability through diligent monitoring of deposit balances and interest rates. By managing key client relationships at both local and global levels, you will act as a vital link between clients, overseas partners, relationship managers, and internal teams. Your expertise will also be called upon when preparing compelling pitch materials or leading complex RFP processes that require coordination across multiple departments.
Support and promote trade finance and cash management business for global corporate and FI clients with a primary focus on the Hong Kong market.
Structure bespoke trade finance solutions for both corporate clients and non-bank FI by understanding their unique requirements.
Drive deposit balances and profitability by monitoring cost of funds changes closely and managing liquid deposit interest rates on a monthly basis.
Manage client transaction banking relationships by liaising with overseas transaction banking partners and relationship managers, leveraging the organisation's global presence to drive business at an international level.
Develop a clear understanding of each client's product needs through careful analysis and prepare tailored pitch books or solution proposals accordingly.
Lead responses to requests for proposals (RFPs) by coordinating with transaction banking product development teams, IT departments, relationship managers, and other regional partners throughout the RFP cycle.
Collaborate effectively with internal stakeholders including product development teams, relationship managers, IT professionals, and regional offices to ensure seamless delivery of solutions.
Monitor market trends in liquidity management products, supply chain finance, eChannels, Host-to-Host solutions, as well as various payment instruments to keep offerings competitive.
Ensure all activities comply with internal policies as well as external regulatory requirements while maintaining high standards of client service.
Contribute positively to team initiatives aimed at enhancing operational efficiency, knowledge sharing, and continuous improvement within the department.
What you bring:
To excel as a Trade Finance and Cash Management Associate in this prestigious organisation's Hong Kong office, you will bring not only technical proficiency but also genuine enthusiasm for building positive connections. Your background should include hands-on experience supporting trade finance or cash management sales within an international bank setting. You will have developed deep familiarity with transaction banking products such as supply chain finance tools or eChannel platforms-enabling you to offer insightful guidance tailored precisely to each client's needs. Your proven track record coordinating RFPs demonstrates your ability to manage complex projects involving multiple stakeholders across regions.
Degree holder.
At least 3 years' experience working in trade finance or cash management sales/product sales within an international banking environment.
Comprehensive knowledge of transaction banking products including conventional trade finance solutions, supply chain finance options, liquidity management tools, eChannels platforms, Host-to-Host integration solutions, as well as various payments and receipts instruments.
Demonstrated experience coordinating both regional and local RFP processes including question clarification sessions and response documentation preparation.
Exceptional stakeholder management abilities enabling you to collaborate effectively with relationship managers, product development teams, IT professionals, and other product offices across different regions.
Outstanding client management skills allowing you to identify client needs accurately while articulating suitable product solutions clearly both verbally and in writing in English, Cantonese, and Mandarin.
Strong organisational skills with attention to detail when handling multiple projects simultaneously under tight deadlines.
Excellent interpersonal communication skills that foster trust-based relationships with clients as well as internal colleagues from diverse backgrounds.
A dependable approach towards teamwork combined with sensitivity towards cultural differences within an international @context.
