Position Summary:
As a software engineer working on our systems and services, you will work with a talented team of professional engineers to deliver projects and systems critical to Fandango and Sports Next businesses. We expect our engineers to be versatile, collaborative, and enthusiastic about taking on new problems across our businesses as we continue to build great experiences for our customers.
Responsibilities:
Develop, enhance, test, deploy, and maintain software and services in accordance with established SDLC practices for applications/APIs written in C#/node.js
Perform critical code reviews and collaborate with peers on software solutions
Collaborate with Product Managers and Quality Engineers to deliver high quality, high profile software and user experiences
Participate in Agile ceremonies (standups, retros, sprint planning, etc.)
Contribute to design and implementation planning
Troubleshoot issues on local and remote systems
Minimum Qualifications:
BS degree in Computer Science, Computer Engineering or related technical field, or equivalent practical experience
2+ years of professional experience as a software engineer working in a back end or full-stack capacity
A strong understanding of software design patterns, development practices and principles
1+ year of professional experience in one or more of the following programming languages:
JavaScript/Node
C#/.NET
Java
Experience working and coding with relational databases
Experience working with version control systems (Git or similar)
Working knowledge of common networking, infrastructure, and technical security fundamentals
Preferred / Useful Qualifications:
Experience developing consumer-facing software, especially at scale
Experience working in an Agile/Scrum environment
Experience with a variety of data stores: Document databases, columnar data stores, Redis, Elasticsearch, etc.
Experience with cloud technologies and serverless applications (AWS, GCP, Azure or similar)
Strong understanding of RESTful APIs, microservices, and/or service-oriented architectures
Familiarity with software build, release, deployment, and monitoring tools and practices
