Summary You will serve as a SUPERVISORY INFORMATION TECHNOLOGY SPECIALIST (PLCYPLN) in the INFORMATION MANAGEMENT OFFICE (IMO) (BUPERS-07) of BUREAU OF NAVAL PERSONNEL. Responsibilities You will develop, coordinate, and approve Echelon II level Information Management (IM)/Information Technology (IT) governance policy plans, processes and organizational structure. You will coordinate and manage the documentation of IT processes, instructions, policies and guidance. You will write IT specifications for compliance with regulatory procurement processes and procedures. You will plan work/projects to be accomplished by non-supervisory subordinates. You will define and oversee the implementation of systems and methods to collect, measure productivity (effectiveness and efficiency) of the IMO organization. Requirements Conditions of Employment Qualifications Your resume must demonstrate at least one year of specialized experience at or equivalent to the GS-13 grade level or pay band in the Federal service or equivalent experience in the private or public sector. Specialized experience must demonstrate the following: 1) Managing Information Technology (IT) processes, instructions, policies, etc., to ensure compliance with higher level requirements; 2) Ensuring compliance with the Privacy Act and tracking/reporting all initiatives and spillages; 3) Advising customers on information systems policy, procedures and standards to ensure compliance; 4)Communicating with commands to ensure functional requirements satisfy user needs; 5) Briefing senior leaders on state-of-the-art IT development to communicate impacts on operations. Your experience must reflect skill in the following areas: attention to detail, customer service, oral communication, and problem solving.
