Position Summary:

We are seeking a motivated Electrical Engineering Co-op to join our R&D team. This is an exciting opportunity for a student to gain hands-on experience in the design, building, testing, and documentation of very specialized medical device electronics in a highly regulated and collaborative environment.

Essential Functions:

Support the design, prototyping, and testing of analog and digital electronic circuits.

Assist in schematic capture, PCB layout, and bring-up of new hardware.

Perform proto@type kitting, building, electrical testing, data collection, and analysis using lab equipment (oscilloscopes, DMMs, power supplies, etc.).

Document design activities in accordance with quality and regulatory standards (e.g., company SOPs, FDA, ISO 13485).

Participate in design reviews, failure analysis, and root cause investigations.

Collaborate with cross-functional teams including mechanical, firmware, and quality engineers.

Qualifications:

Currently pursuing a B.S. degree in Electrical Engineering, Biomedical Engineering, or a related field.

Completion of at least 2 years of undergraduate coursework.

Familiarity with basic analog/digital circuit design principles.

Hands-on experience with test equipment and lab work.

Proficiency with tools such as Altium is a plus.

Exposure to embedded systems or microcontrollers is a plus.

Strong communication and documentation skills.

Interest in medical devices or regulated industries is preferred.

The employee is occasionally required to sit; climb or balance; and stoop, kneel, crouch or crawl. The employee must frequently lift and/or move up to 10 pounds and occasionally lift and/or move up to 25 pounds. Specific vision abilities required by this job include close vision, distance vision, color vision, peripheral vision, depth perception and ability to adjust focus.
