Accounts Payable Specialist

Description We are looking for a skilled Accounts Payable Specialist to join our team on a contract basis in Amenia, New York. In this role, you will be responsible for managing a high volume of invoices and ensuring the accuracy and efficiency of payment processes. This position offers the opportunity to work in a collaborative environment, with potential flexibility to transition into a hybrid schedule after the initial training period.

Responsibilities:

Process approximately 100 invoices weekly with precision and attention to detail.

Manage purchase orders and ensure proper coding and compliance.

Enter payment and client information into accounting software with accuracy.

Verify and reconcile account details to ensure timely payments.

Utilize Sage Intacct software to streamline accounts payable operations.

Collaborate with internal teams to resolve discrepancies and gather necessary payment information.

Maintain organized records of accounts payable transactions.

Assist with automated clearing house (ACH) transactions.

Apply advanced Excel formulas for data analysis and reporting. Requirements - Proven experience in accounts payable or a related field.

Proficiency in Sage Intacct software is highly preferred.

Strong skills in Microsoft Excel, including knowledge of formulas and data manipulation.

Ability to process high volumes of invoices efficiently.

Familiarity with account coding and invoice management.

Excellent attention to detail and organizational skills.

Strong communication abilities for working with internal teams and vendors.

Knowledge of ACH transactions and electronic payment systems.
