Your role and responsibilities: The Utility Segment Channel Manager leads the execution strategy for channel for all channel partners and customer buying groups within the Utility segment. The role evaluates and reviews channel performance alongside Utility region managers and collaborates with Group and Strategic Account Managers (GAM and SAM) for "named" channel accounts. The role is responsible for executing the national channel strategy at the local region level including channel promotions and incentive programs. The role works with the Utility region managers to set targets by channel partner and manages the annual channel partner planning process. This role should develop strong relationships with senior management of key channel partners through local meetings and industry events such as NAED, AHTD, AD, etc. This is a full remote position. Candidates must be located in the United States. This role is contributing to the Electrification Distribution Solutions group in the United States. You will be mainly accountable for: Creating the annual regional channel coverage strategy plans including STAR (Strategic Trade Area Review) process Responsible for monthly reporting on channel activity and performance, including evaluating and reviewing performance of regional channel partners. Works with Utility Region leaders to ensure all Tier 1 Distributor branches have account mgr. or iRep assigned for ABB Work with assigned account manager to develop channel partner plan based on national programs and activities. Works with account managers to define specific targets (volume, price, mix) for channel partners. Assist with the on-boarding activities for new distributors Assesses and provides feedback to account managers on signature series program and national programs (IMARK, AD etc.) Develops conversion and contingency plans for the Utility Sales organization. Manages local distributor authorizations within national guidelines Works closely with other ABB National Channel teams (IBC, IP) and IBC Region Channel Managers on programs, performance and conversions Qualifications for the role: Bachelor's degree in Engineering, marketing or business administration or equivalent technical field. Advanced degree desirable Minimum 10 years sales experience, or equivalent combination of professional experience (sales, marketing, operations). 2+ years of direct Channel management experience Exceptional analytical, communication and leadership skills More about us: ABB's Distribution Solutions Division facilitates the efficient and reliable distribution, protection and control of power by improving electric power quality while strengthening the resilience of the grid.
