The Hotel Cleveland is seeking a Security Officer to join our team. As a Security Officer you will protective and enforcement functions in a courteous and restrained manner in coping with emergencies, undesired conduct, disturbances and threats to life and property to maintain a safe and secure environment.
*We are hiring 1st, 2nd, and 3rd shift positions. Please indicate your preferred shift in the application questions
This Marriott Autograph Collection property opened in 1918, has 491 newly renovated rooms and 60,000 sq. ft. of meeting space.

ESSENTIAL JOB FUNCTIONS:
Patrol the interior of and the perimeter of the hotel and the property to observe and identify potential safety risks, security risks and undesirable conditions.
Respond to emergency situations including, but not limited to, safety hazards, fires, medical emergencies and threats to life and/or property.
Promote safe work practices.
Initiates preliminary investigations into incidents, as needed.
Writes reports and ensures accuracy of necessary documentation, as needed.
Respond to guest inquiries and requests and resolve guest issues in a timely, friendly and efficient manner.
Monitors CCTV system.
Comply with attendance rules and be available to work on a regular basis.
Perform any other job related duties as assigned.
REQUIRED SKILLS/ABILITIES:
Minimum of 1 year experience as a Security Guard, Police Officer, Loss Prevention Agent or similar required.
Previous Hotel Security Guard experience highly desired.
Knowledgeable of CCTV system, Computers.
Available to work flexible schedule (AM, PM and ON shifts).
Available to work weekends and holidays.
