Staff Engineer - Site Design

Location: Milwaukee, WI

Job Summary

We are seeking a dedicated and skilled Staff Engineer to join our growing Site Design team in Milwaukee, WI. In this role, you will work under the guidance of a licensed Professional Engineer (PE) to support the design and delivery of high-quality civil engineering projects. This is an excellent opportunity for a motivated individual looking to grow their technical skills and contribute to impactful infrastructure work.

Key Responsibilities

Assist in the design and preparation of civil engineering projects, including site layout, grading, and utilities.

Develop detailed plans using Civil 3D and other design software.

Collaborate with team members to produce project plans, specifications, and cost estimates.

Conduct site visits and field inspections to collect data and assess project needs.

Ensure compliance with local, state, and federal regulations.

Support the PE in engineering tasks, project coordination, and documentation.

Communicate effectively with internal teams, clients, and stakeholders.

Qualifications

Bachelor's degree in Civil Engineering or a related field.

Proficiency in Civil 3D or a strong willingness to learn.

Solid understanding of grading and utility design principles.

Strong analytical and problem-solving skills.

Excellent attention to detail and organizational abilities.

Effective verbal and written communication skills.

A collaborative mindset and eagerness to grow in a professional engineering environment.

Pay and Benefits

The pay range for this position is $26.44 - $38.46/hr.
