Description We are looking for a skilled Legal Assistant to join our team in Grand Rapids, Michigan. This role requires an individual with a strong background in litigation, excellent organizational skills, and the ability to support attorneys in delivering high-quality legal services.

Responsibilities:

Prepare and file legal documents electronically, ensuring accuracy and compliance with court requirements.

Manage litigation schedules, including maintaining calendars and coordinating court appearances.

Support attorneys by organizing case files, drafting correspondence, and conducting preliminary research.

Handle scheduling tasks, such as arranging meetings and depositions.

Monitor deadlines and ensure timely submission of court filings.

Facilitate communication with clients, court personnel, and other legal professionals.

Assist in the preparation of legal pleadings, motions, and discovery documents.

Maintain confidentiality and adhere to ethical standards in all legal matters.

Stay updated on e-filing procedures and court regulations. Requirements - Minimum of two years of experience in litigation, particularly in insurance defense or commercial litigation.

Proficiency in e-filing legal documents with state and federal courts.

Strong knowledge of civil litigation processes and procedures.

Exceptional organizational skills, including calendar management and scheduling.

Ability to work collaboratively with attorneys and other team members.

Familiarity with court filing requirements and deadlines.

Excellent written and verbal communication skills.

High attention to detail and ability to maintain confidentiality.
