As a Senior Data Scientist on the Media Group Decision Sciences team, you will help design and deliver of data-driven insights and solutions that enhance audience engagement across streaming and linear platforms. This role involves close collaboration with data scientists, engineers, analysts, and stakeholders, and requires strong technical and communication skills to develop scalable solutions. By applying advanced statistical methods and machine learning techniques, you will drive improvements in content engagement, marketing efficiency, and distribution effectiveness, playing a key role in how the company reaches and retains its audiences.
Responsibilities:
Develop and deliver impactful analytical solutions and tools using statistical modeling, machine learning, and data science techniques to uncover audience insights and support decision-making.
Translate complex business problems into data-driven approaches by partnering with cross-functional teams (e.g. Advanced Analytics, Content Strategy, Consumer Insights, etc.) and communicating findings clearly to technical and non-technical audiences.
Contribute meaningfully to project execution, including scoping, data exploration, modeling, validation, and documentation across both ad hoc and recurring workflows.
Advance the team's analytical rigor and technical standards by contributing to methodology development, peer reviews, and collaborative problem solving.
Think critically and rigorously about leveraging available data effectively, identifying opportunities for deeper audience understanding and improved business outcomes.
Bachelor's or Master's degree in a quantitative or technical field (e.g. Computer Science, Mathematics, Data Science, Economics, or related discipline).
2+ years of experience applying statistical and machine learning methods for inference and prediction in a professional setting.
Proficiency in Python and SQL, with experience working in cloud-based data environments such as BigQuery or PySpark.
Demonstrated experience using relational databases and applying data visualization techniques to communicate analytical insights.
Strong communication and collaboration skills, with the ability to work effectively with cross-functional stakeholders, translating business needs to analytical approaches and delivering clear, actionable insights.
Team-oriented and collaborative, with a proactive approach to problem-solving and learning.
Desired Characteristics:
Experience designing and deploying scalable data and machine learning pipelines, ideally in cluster computing environments such as Databricks or Google Cloud Platform and orchestration tools like Airflow.
Strong oral and written communication skills, with the ability to explain complex concepts to diverse stakeholder through clear narratives, well-structured documentation, and effective data visualizations using tools such as Tableau.
Strong sense of curiosity, accountability, and execution, with the ability to lead and contribute to projects of various sizes with clarity and purpose.
Enthusiastic about video, TV, and streaming content, with an interest in leveraging data to better understand audiences.

Salary range: $120,000 - $150,000
