Medical Scheduler

Description

Duties include:

Scheduling of appointments

Handling Insurance Verification

Gathering and inputting information into the electronic medical record for billing, registration and scheduling purposes (EPIC)

Collect and enter demographic, billing, insurance and co-pay information to complete check-in and facilitate a seamless customer experience

Schedule patients following established policies and procedures to ensure accuracy

Proactively problem solve access issues that arise when scheduling and providing support to clients

Files, retrieves, or delivers patient information

Facilitates the flow of patient forms, letters, and data per department needs

Must:

Knowledge of HIPAA regulations

At least 1 year of previous healthcare

Experience working with EPIC, at least 1 year preferred

Ability to work in high volume, fast-paced, multi-tasking environment

Ability to be flexible in response to unexpected changes in workload, staffing and scheduling

Strong communication skills; both written and verbal

Reliable and motivated to work

High attention to detail and strong problem solving skills

Ability to work independently or in a team environment

Comfortable working under minimal supervision

Flexibility to work between 7:30am-5:30pm Mon-Fri

Pay and Benefits

The pay range for this position is $20.00 - $22.00/hr.
