If so, the AMXL (Amazon Extra Large) operations finance team is looking for an experienced finance leader with a strong record of achieving results. We need leaders who are capable of breaking down and solving complex problems for the benefit of our quickly expanding customer base.
The Last Mile Investment Analytics team seeks a Finance Manager to support the AMXL program, partnering directly with our business and finance partners to own End-to-End NA AMXL Investment Analytics where you will influence decision-making within the org. You will have extensive cross-functional partnership opportunities with business and finance leaders across multiple disciplines including Real Estate, Long Range Planning, Topology, Construction, Startup and Launch teams to solve high visibility, high impact, unstructured problems as we optimize our AMXL delivery network. Your ability to deliver meaningful financial analysis through ambiguous situations and operate with a high degree of critical thinking will allow you to operate as the primary Finance stakeholder in the decision-making of growing our AMXL network.
Success in this role requires you to partner with and influence business owners, respectively audit and challenge business model assumptions, and adapt to a rapidly-evolving environment. You will own the financial analysis behind the decisions AMXL will make, and hold yourself and partners accountable for ensuring those data-driven decisions are best for Amazon. You will collaborate with all @types of stakeholders, from other finance leaders, to functional leaders, to executives, across multiple business units within Amazon. You bring best-in-class business partnership, critical thinking, and high judgement not only in the execution of your work but also while advocating strong controllership within your team and across stakeholders. You are comfortable asking thoughtful questions, communicating insights, and presenting your analysis to business leaders during reviews. You're a team player who thinks 2 steps ahead, prioritizes building analysis the "right" way, and appreciates process as much as execution.
This role directly impacts the decision on critical investments in Amazon Last Mile infrastructure. A successful candidate effectively influences business partners, provides sound and thoughtful recommendations leveraging high degrees of financial knowledge and critical thinking, and manages competing priorities in a quickly changing environment. The candidate should demonstrate amazing analytical skills, ability to work with ambiguity and strong analytical and verbal and written communication skills as direct interaction with worldwide operations leadership is common.
Key job responsibilities
Design and build processes that improve the level of accuracy, automation, and scalability of financial analysis
Own a subset of financial analyses from ideation through execution that balances speed of execution with accuracy to deliver the highest degree of value to Amazon

Basic Qualifications
Bachelor's degree in finance, accounting, business, economics, or a related analytical field (e.g., engineering, math, computer science)
5+ years of finance experience, or Master's degree and 3+ years of finance experience
Preferred Qualifications
MBA, or CPA
6+ years of identifying incomplete or inaccurate data, identifying the root cause and creating/implementing an escalation plan experience
6+ years of solving complex business challenges by delivering accurate and timely financial models, analysis, and recommendations that have a proven impact on business (e.g., financial savings, operational improvements, or customer benefits) experience
Knowledge of SQL/ETL
Experience working with large-scale data mining and reporting tools (examples: SQL, MS Access, Essbase, Cognos) and other financial systems (examples: Oracle, SAP, Lawson, JD Edwards)
Experience delivering forecasting, budgeting, and variance analysis, and data interpretation of results

Our compensation reflects the cost of labor across several US geographic markets. The base pay for this position ranges from $85,900/year in our lowest geographic market up to $179,500/year in our highest geographic market. Pay is based on a number of factors including market location and may vary depending on job-related knowledge, skills, and experience. Amazon is a total compensation company.
