While working with Agassiz Equipment, you will have your own assigned region, to develop new business with both the private contractor and governmental agencies. As being an outside sales personnel member, your duties will be meeting customers face-to-face in an office atmosphere, jobsite visits and governmental commissioner/city council meetings in the southern part of the territory. This will help you to know their needs on which machines they will need for a profitable job site at a low cost per hour.
The counties that are in the southern territory are parts of Griggs, Steele, Traill, all of Barnes, Cass counties of ND with Norman, Mahnomen, Clay and Becker counties in MN. Territory may change with time.
Responsibilities:
Introducing customers to Agassiz Equipment and promoting its products.
Build and maintain strong personal relationships with customers focusing growth by becoming their first point-of-contact at the dealership.
Promote and sell new, used heavy equipment, as well as rental equipment.
Demonstrate equipment features/benefits and show their values to customers in the field.
Inspect and appraise potential equipment trade-ins.
Provide customers with real solutions to meet their needs based on your understanding of how our products and services bring value to their operation.
Provide world class customer service.
Promote Agassiz Equipment product support offerings.
Build customer loyalty by following up on service or parts transactions, ensuring all inquiries are addressed in a timely manner.
Participate in and contribute to training and obtain required vendor certifications as requested.
Meet with your coworkers and management to present and overcome obstacles, learn new skills, and grow professionally.
Completes and processes all documentation and paperwork.

Qualifications:
Knowledge of or willingness to learn local producer practices of the Construction industry.
Previous sales experience and knowledge of heavy equipment preferred.
Knowledge of Hyundai, TYM and other related/competitive product lines preferred.
Ability to understand and communicate basic financing with customers.
Computer experience with Microsoft Word, Excel, and PowerPoint.
Excellent self-motivation and personal accountability.
Effective communication skills.
Strong organizational skills
Ability to work evening and weekend hours as needed.
Must have and maintain a clean driving record.
