Description We are looking for a skilled and detail-oriented Paralegal to join our team on a long-term contract basis in Hamilton, New Jersey. This position offers an excellent opportunity to work closely with probate and surrogate court processes, ensuring legal accuracy and compliance. The ideal candidate will have prior experience in a law firm and a solid understanding of probate law and related administrative tasks.

Responsibilities:

Prepare and file formal pleadings with chancery courts, ensuring compliance with legal standards.

Assemble and organize legal documents for court proceedings and client case files.

Serve documents to interested parties, including relatives and other stakeholders, in a timely manner.

Monitor and manage court hearing schedules and response deadlines to ensure all timelines are met.

Coordinate and interact with surrogate and probate court staff, fostering effective communication.

Track and update case progress using case management software.

Assist with trial preparation, including discovery and civil litigation support.

Maintain accurate and organized records of all legal filings and case-related documentation.

Collaborate with attorneys to support probate litigation and estate administration.

Ensure all legal procedures are followed, adhering to court requirements and deadlines. Requirements - Minimum of 3-5 years of experience as a Paralegal, preferably in a law firm setting.

Strong knowledge of probate law and chancery court processes.

Proficiency in preparing and filing legal pleadings and court documents.

Familiarity with case management software and tools for tracking legal deadlines.

Experience with discovery, civil litigation, and trial preparation.

Excellent organizational and time management skills.

Ability to communicate effectively with court staff and legal professionals.

Detail-oriented with a commitment to maintaining accuracy in legal documentation.
