Job Title: Control Panel Technician

Job Description

The Control Panel Technician is responsible for the assembly of electrical enclosures utilized in the measurement and control of hydrocarbon and chemical products, as well as applications in power and water sectors.

Responsibilities

Mount electronic control hardware into enclosures as per standards and practices.

Terminate input and output signals from electronic control hardware to termination blocks.

Accurately measure wire lengths based on appropriate wire colors per I/O channel.

Strip insulation off wires and secure each end under screw terminals.

Use hand tools such as wire crimpers, wire strippers, pliers, and cordless drills.

Follow directions and schematics precisely.

Demonstrate hand and finger dexterity to work with small, tightly packed terminals.

Essential Skills

Panel wiring and assembly experience.

Proficiency in reading and interpreting electrical schematics.

Experience with point-to-point wiring.

General PC skills with knowledge of Word and Outlook.

3+ years of experience in building whole units independently.

Additional Skills & Qualifications

Attention to detail in electrical work.

Ability to handle multiple wires and wire color combinations.

Ability to lift 50 lbs occasionally.

Ability to stoop and reach into metal enclosures.

Work Environment

The candidate will work at a workstation where they may reach, bend, crouch, and occasionally lift up to 50 lbs, with an option to sit or stand. The facility is non-climate controlled, except for the climate-controlled valve department. Working hours are typically 8 a.m. to 5 p.m., Monday through Friday, with a preference to shift from 6 a.m. to 3 p.m. during summer months due to heat. Overtime may be required, up to 6 a.m. to 5 p.m.

This is a Contract to Hire position based out of Lewisville, Texas.

Pay and Benefits

The pay range for this position is $21.00 - $24.00/hr.
