Accounts Payable Analyst

Description We are looking for an Accounts Payable Analyst to join a manufacturing team in Holland, Michigan. This contract position involves managing financial transactions with precision, ensuring compliance, and supporting vendor relationships. The ideal candidate will bring a strong background in accounts payable processes and manufacturing finance, along with excellent analytical and organizational skills.

Responsibilities:

Process vendor invoices accurately and in compliance with company policies, focusing on manufacturing-related transactions.

Reconcile accounts payable records to ensure accuracy and resolve any discrepancies promptly.

Prepare and execute payments, including checks, wire transfers, and other methods, while adhering to vendor terms and payment schedules.

Maintain detailed and organized documentation of all financial transactions.

Collaborate with internal teams to verify invoice coding and approvals, ensuring accuracy and alignment with manufacturing processes.

Conduct monthly account reconciliations to support accurate financial reporting.

Assist with month-end close activities, including journal entries and account adjustments.

Utilize QAD software to streamline accounts payable operations and improve efficiency.

Analyze and optimize the accounts payable process to enhance operational performance.

Support audits and compliance checks by providing accurate and timely financial records. Requirements - Proven experience in accounts payable within a manufacturing environment.

Strong proficiency in QAD software or similar ERP systems.

Solid understanding of invoice processing, coding, and reconciliation.

Familiarity with month-end close processes and journal entries.

Advanced skills in Microsoft Excel for data analysis and reporting.

Excellent attention to detail and ability to meet deadlines.

Strong problem-solving skills with the ability to resolve discrepancies efficiently.

Effective communication skills to collaborate with vendors and internal teams.
