Substitute Custodians Needed for the Ambridge Area School District for the 2025 - 2026 School Year

Candidates should be flexible enough to work at any of the schools in the district. These are substitute custodians filling in for staff members on a day-to-day basis, so if the candidates are only looking to work part-time or even as little as one day per week, these positions are often flexible enough to supplement the candidate's schedule. If any candidates are looking for full-time work and not seeing enough through Ambridge Area S.D., we suggest including other districts to help fill in your schedule, including Moon Area S.D.

During the school year, custodian hours are typically second shift between the hours of 2:30pm -11:30pm, however, there are some daylight shifts that may become available from time to time. It is preferred the qualified candidate has reliable transportation as most schools in the district are not easily accessible by bus. All interested individuals should have some experience.

Custodians - $14.25 - $15 per hour (depending onthe district)

Clearances required within the last year:

PA Criminal Background Check

PA Child Abuse Clearance

FBI fingerprints through the Dept. of Education

Act 126 Clearance (online Mandated Reporter training)

Arrest/Conviction Record form (Act 24) and Act 168 clearance (Precision will provide these forms for the candidates to complete)

Pre-employment physical and TB test required (neither should be more than 1 year old)

Additional Requirements:

Must have either a HS diploma or GED

It is preferred candidates have some experience in custodial/janitorial work, cleaning, hotel/housekeeping, etc.
