Job Title: Electrical DesignerJob Description

Provide expert technical guidance on cabling infrastructure and related systems, including network, data, access, performance, scalability, security, reliability, and fault tolerance. Possess industry knowledge of current products, codes, and standards related to low voltage cabling as outlined within Division 27 and Division 28 Specification sections. Be well versed in current telecommunications trends, especially as related to your specific area of expertise, and understand how this relates to the larger field of telecommunications. Coordinate teams to accomplish specific and quantifiable goals relating to the deployment of technology. Meet with clients and appropriate staff to discuss requirements for upgrades or replacements to drive necessary solutions. Design cabling infrastructure systems, assist with technical language for request for proposal (RFP) documents, and provide quantifiable recommendations and price estimates.

Responsibilities

Provide expert technical guidance on cabling infrastructure and related systems.

Possess industry knowledge of current products, codes, and standards related to low voltage cabling.

Coordinate teams to accomplish specific and quantifiable goals relating to technology deployment.

Meet with clients and staff to discuss upgrade or replacement requirements.

Design cabling infrastructure systems and assist with technical language for RFP documents.

Provide quantifiable recommendations and price estimates.

Assist with overall company success through various assigned duties.

Essential Skills

Proficiency in electrical design using AutoCAD and Bluebeam.

Experience with low voltage systems.

Knowledge in telecommunications practices and communications equipment.

LEA, RCDD, or NICET 2 or greater certifications are highly desirable.

Additional Skills & Qualifications

Experience in managing multiple timelines.

In-depth knowledge of convergent technology related to communications systems.

Proficiency in Microsoft Office and related products.

Smartsheet experience is desirable.

Drawing markup experience using Bluebeam.

Work Environment

This is a fully remote opportunity, though the candidate needs to be somewhat local to perform site visits. Employee benefits include 11 paid holidays, personal time off starting at three weeks annually, fully funded health and dental benefits for the employee, and a 401k plan with company match.

Pay and Benefits

The pay range for this position is $45.00 - $52.00/hr.
