Job Description:

We're seeking a highly skilled systems engineer who has technical expertise and wants to expand their business knowledge implementing strategies, evaluating products, and delivering solutions that support the needs of our customers. In this role, the Cyber Systems Engineer works with pursuit teams to understand customer needs and gather requirements to support GDIT solution implementation and planning. You will align customer technical needs either to existing solutions formulated under GDIT's Zero Trust digital accelerator as well as through the Division or you will apply, package and have hands on ability to tailor these solutions for reuse or define further investments to meet GDIT customer and future opportunity needs. As part of investments, you will formulate and develop simple proto@types consisting of tailored commercial product configurations, reuse of proven GDIT solutions (both commercial and custom), and/or develop unique API coding. The proto@type work will require you to design, develop, and perhaps integrate complex work systems; you will advocate long-term technical vision and mature the proto@types to a high standard so you can demonstrate the new capabilities to our government clients. The goal is to communicate and achieve the successful adaptation of the investments to support new GDIT opportunities and support technology insertion. HOW A CYBER SYSTEMS ENGINEER WILL MAKE AN IMPACT
Configure infrastructure software products to meet mission and ZT security requirements in lab environments and/or customer environments
Identify potential issues and implement solutions proactively
Gather business, technical and operational requirements sufficient for a technical solution
Create and maintain documentation as it relates to system configuration, mapping, processes, and capabilities.
Develop roadmaps and recommendations to drive client briefings/demonstrations of zero trust security and mission enabled features
Collaborate with stakeholders to formulate proto@types and design documentation customization for demonstrations to meet pursuit leads
Work with the acquisition community to shape acquisitions with Zero Trust capabilities
Participate in select consultative selling opportunities
Conduct regular status and strategy meetings with key personnel to comprehend their program needs and link them to the organizations' ZT solutions
Help shape the marketing message to reflect enterprise ZT
Gather high level requirements and translate them into consumable tasks
Promote modern methodologies to increase efficiency and consistency
Contribute and be an advocate for long-term technical vision
WHAT YOU'LL NEED TO SUCCEED:
? Education: BS in Computer Engineering, Computer Science or related technology field. An additional four years of work experience may be substituted for education.
? Required Experience: 12+ years related technical experience to include the following abilities to:
? Required Technical Skills:
Collaborate with stakeholders and business opportunity leads to understand business challenges, translating them into high impact CONOPS definition technical architecture/feature demonstrations/pilots.
Gather high level requirements and translate them into system requirements and align with ZT architecture, creating technical documentation including diagrams
Collaborate with stakeholders to formulate proto@types and design documentation customization for demonstrations to meet pursuit leads needs
Ensure consistent implementations are identified and implemented aligned to customer objectives and defined architecture in accordance with ZT security requirements
Configure infrastructure software products to meet mission and ZT security requirements in lab environments and/or customer environments and document configurations
Demonstrate experience working with government entities at the federal level
Document meetings with stakeholders and track actions
Support outreach activities to inform, educate and interact with key customers, and client-facing GDIT organizational components
Understand the Implementation of zero-trust practices across the whole stack

? Preferred Skills:
Expertise in NIST SP 800-53, NIST 800-171, Zero Trust Models
Possess familiarity with NIST cyber publications, ZT Architecture, Maturity Models and Technical Reference Architectures (Both Defense and CISA Strategies)
Identify key themes for stakeholders that enable faster and smarter business processes through ZT solutioning and promote modern methodologies that increase efficiency and consistency
Strong analytical skills and the ability to predict challenges and develop proactive solutions
Experience with user capabilities such as understanding the user perspective, user research, and story development
Knowledge of digital modernization
Ability to contribute and be an advocate for long-term technical vision

The likely salary range for this position is $148,750 - $201,250. This is not, however, a guarantee of compensation or salary. Rather, salary will be set based on experience, geographic location and possibly contractual requirements and could fall outside of this range.
