Job Summary and Qualifications
JOB SUMMARY
The foundation of the HealthTrust model is a patient-focused mission, led by experienced supply chain & clinical leadership. This industry-differentiating perspective drives all supply chain activities and decisions, ensuring that customer requirements are addressed and that there will be a strong commitment to on-contract purchasing. HealthTrust ITG is a Division of HCA Information Technology Group (ITG) that is responsible for designing, developing, and deploying products to internal business units within HealthTrust Supply Chain.
A Consulting Business Analyst is responsible for coordinating across all IT functions on behalf of the HealthTrust business stakeholders to assist with ensuring business needs and value are captured, technology road maps are developed to align to needs, and products are delivered as planned. The employee will work closely with the business leaders and the HealthTrust ITG Customer Engagement, Architecture and Planning, Quality Assurance and Product Development teams.
The Consulting Business Analyst will demonstrate an understanding of the service lines within the company, the key products and services common to the industry, the business goals and value proposition, and will use this understanding as a basis for gathering customer input and feedback to support achievement of customer value and initiative profitability targets.
The Consulting Business Analyst should demonstrate an understanding of complex ideas, a forward-looking perspective, a consultancy mindset, and be able to contribute to tactical decision-making processes. This role should practice attentive listening, and display empathy towards others' ideas and perspectives. Additionally, the Consulting Business Analyst is accountable for capturing information as it pertains to the customer and communicating it across the organization. The Consulting Business Analyst perform all duties with a focus on quality of work, attention to detail and a high level of self-management and self-awareness.
GENERAL RESPONSIBILITIES
Leads conversations with business stakeholders to determine true business needs, translate those needs into meaningful (IT backlog) requirements, and develop clearly understood action plans to execute on those requirements.
Builds strong relationships with business stakeholders, taking on the role of a trusted advisor, and ITG teams based on mutual trust and respect
Assists with leading team(s) and driving delivery to achieve customer value and goals
Helps coordinate across all ITG functions on behalf of customer
Communicates product delivery assurance
Involves customer in design of communications and training
Participates in development of business initiative plans and resource plans
Contributes to achievement of customer value and profitability targets
Assists with creation of action plans to achieve financial or performance goals
Understands and follows escalation process for Business Analysis, Quality Assurance and Training issues, risks and mitigation; assists team members in navigating
Assists with preparation of forecasted budgets for customer initiatives
Manages small product releases, communicates schedule and value
Contributes to development of long term plans and budgets
Assists with creation and tracking of ITG value metrics
Contributes to tracking quality metrics and customer satisfaction and to implementation of QA plans
Defines and maps customer requirements and develops and delivers business cases and business value justification
Gathers, understands, and translates customer requirements for development
Works to be proactive in understanding the business areas, identifying potential business initiatives with technology impacts, investigating problematic issues with program management and recommending products and best practices
Documents customer requirements and develops features and/or user stories
Supports the driving of results across departments and/or matrixed functions
Manages own individual performance
Assists incorporation of customer interests into the development of the product
Gathers customer input and feedback
Contributes to cross-functional teams
Knows personal strengths and weaknesses
RELEVANT WORK EXPERIENCE
7+ years
Other preferred/required experience:
Experience interfacing with customers, internal and external stakeholders
Ability to prepare effective business documentation and presentations
Experience working with cross-functional teams
Strong written and verbal communication
Healthcare IT Experience, Group Purchasing and Supply Chain Experience Preferred
Scrum Experience Preferred
Experience with technology development/support, ranging from COBOL to the Cloud
EDUCATION
Bachelor's Degree Required
Master's Degree Preferred
OTHER/SPECIAL QUALIFICATIONS
Certified Scrum Product Owner preferred

Able to travel up to 25% of the time
