An RGP Client and Non-Profit, Faith-Based Organization is seeking an Interim Consultant to perform the responsibilities of Chief Financial Officer / Controller. Successful candidates will have an opportunity to guide this RGP Client organization
through the complexities of financial management while interacting with religious and lay staff. THIS ROLE REQUIRES ONSITE 5 (FIVE) DAYS IN THE WASHINGTON, D. . CLIENT OFFICE LOCATION.
This Interim Chief Financial Officer /Controller Role is responsible for planning, organizing, staffing,
motivating, directing, and evaluating effective systems of sound Financial
management and Business administration including responsibility for all Finance and Accounting Operations This role also assists in matters
relating to the Financial affairs of related entities including development, implementation, and interpretation of
the Financial Policies.
PRINCIPAL DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES:
Assists in the preparation and maintenance of the long-range Financial plan for the Province.
Maintains an appropriate organizational structure and assures competent staff to perform the functions and services of the Finance Office.
Ensures timely completion of the annual audit and reviews results.
Prepares financial reports for the Province to the General Government and other Redemptorist organizations as needed.
Serves on Investment Committee of the Province with responsibility to convene quarterly meetings of the committee to review strategies and performance in light of current reality and future needs.
Prepares annual operating and capital budgets for review and approval by the Provincial Council and prepares monthly financial reports.
Reviews the Investment portfolios quarterly to ensure compliance with Province investment policies and to identify cash needs.
Attends quarterly Finance Committee meetings, records and prepares the minutes, and follows up on any required actions.
Reviews annually the Insurance (property, liability, etc. ) programs to ensure the programs provide adequate coverage
Works with banks, trustees, and attorneys to resolve any issues regarding Trusts and Estates that name the organization as beneficiary.
Collaborates with the Advancement Office and the bank in regard to all matters of Development.
Gather Workers' Compensation claims information and files annual reports to appropriate State Departments of Labor to be granted the Safety Committee Certification.
Files Social Security taxes, unemployment insurance contributions, and other taxation matters, as well as responds to unemployment requests through the department of labor in the various states of our ministries.
Oversees enrollment of organization members in medical insurance benefits program and updates the Province roster as needed.
Oversees payroll administration and paid leave accruals.
Serves a primary contact to all vendors for management of employee benefits programs such as 403(b), medical, life and disability insurance.
Responds to inquiries/questions regarding financial matters from individual Redemptorists.
Prepares invoices to Province and Communities for shared costs and medical premium reimbursements.
Initiates ACHs and prepares checks for approval.
Ensures Cybersecurity for Finance Office, recommending changes and updates as needed.
Qualified candidates must have a BA, BS, MBA or Other Related Advanced Degree in an area related to Business Financial Management.
Required is a Minimum of five (5) years of leadership experience in a managerial role, responsible for all components of Financial Operations.
Knowledge of Tax regulations pertaining to Non-Profit Corporations is required.
Ideal Candidates have Non-Profit and/or Faith-Based Organization Industry Experience.

Compensation commensurate with employee qualifications, experience, and other factors including geographic location, market, and operational factors. ?
Pay Range: IDEALY HOURLY PAY RATE RANGE IS $80-110 PER HOUR, DEPENDING ON CANDIDATE EXPERIENCE. ROLE REQUIRES ONSITE 5 (FIVE) DAYS PER WEEK IN THE WASHINGTON, D. . AREA.
