Description

We are looking for an experienced Part-Time Contract Accounting Manager to oversee and optimize key financial processes for our organization in River Falls, Wisconsin. This is a long-term contract position that requires strong expertise in financial reporting and accounting operations. The ideal candidate will play a critical role in ensuring accuracy and compliance across all accounting functions.

Responsibilities:

Manage month-end close processes to ensure timely and accurate reporting.

Oversee general ledger activities to maintain proper accounting records.

Prepare and review journal entries to support accurate financial reporting.

Reconcile accounts and resolve discrepancies to ensure accurate balances.

Generate comprehensive financial statements and reports for management review.

Coordinate and support financial statement audits by providing required documentation.

Implement and monitor internal controls to safeguard financial data.

Identify opportunities for process improvements and drive their implementation.

Collaborate with cross-functional teams to address accounting-related queries and issues.

Ensure compliance with accounting standards and regulatory requirements.

Requirements

Minimum of 5 years of experience in accounting or financial management roles.

Proficiency in month-end close processes and general ledger maintenance.

Strong skills in account reconciliation and journal entry preparation.

Demonstrated ability to produce accurate financial reports and statements.

Experience in supporting financial audits and ensuring compliance.

Familiarity with accounting standards and regulations.

Excellent analytical and problem-solving abilities.

Strong communication skills to effectively collaborate with teams and stakeholders.
