Description
Responsible for designing, testing, and verifying electrical hardware, products, and software, while also providing technical support throughout the development and production lifecycle. Develops and deploys production test systems to ensure product quality and reliability, with a focus on improving test coverage and enhancing production yield for both new and existing testers. Additionally, conceptualizes, designs, and implements efficient manufacturing processes to support scalable and cost-effective production.

Lead the design, validation, and deployment of automated electrical test systems for production environments.
Develop advanced test software using LabVIEW, NI TestStand, PLC, or equivalent platforms for functional and performance testing.
Design and build custom electrical test fixtures, integrating sensors, data acquisition, and automation controls.
Diagnose and resolve complex issues related to electrical hardware, test equipment, and software across development and production stages.
Analyze failed units from production and field returns to identify root causes and drive corrective actions.
Create and manage electrical schematics, wiring diagrams, and supporting technical documentation.
Define and execute validation and verification test plans for new hardware and firmware releases.
Perform gage R&R studies, reliability testing, and implement statistical process controls.
Collaborate with manufacturing, quality, and design engineering teams to ensure test strategies support product performance and scalability.
Lead efforts to improve existing production processes, reducing cycle time, defects, and manual intervention.
Provide technical support for configuration of control panels, firmware flashing, and electrical debugging.
Support third-party certification processes through test preparation, data generation, and issue resolution.
Develop and maintain process instructions and training materials related to test and automation systems.
Contribute to cross-functional project teams with a focus on electrical manufacturing readiness and test scalability.

What you need:
Skills and Abilities
Understands mechanical and electrical structures and processes
Proficient capabilities in ladder logic, LabVIEW, or other NI Test Suite compatible programming
Effectively communicates information and responds to questions in person-to-person and small group situations with other employees of the organization
Reads and understands documents such as policy manuals, safety rules, operating and maintenance instructions, and procedure manuals.
Manage large and complex development project work. Demonstrates a track record of successful projects.
Analyzes information and evaluates results to choose the best solution and solve problems.
Education and Experience
Bachelor's degree in Electrical Engineering or Computer Science or equivalent (required)
Three to five years of relevant experience in test engineering (required)
Computer Skills
Advanced: Database, LabVIEW, NI Test Suite
Basic: Word processing/typing, presentation/PowerPoint.
