Position Summary...
VIZIO releases firmware & software for millions of customers in a time efficient manner. We are seeking a Cloud based Staff level DevOps Engineer, to join our robust and scaling DevSecOps team.
You will report to the Senior Manager, DevSecOps Engineering and will play a pivotal role in optimizing our upstream services and software delivery mechanisms, foster collaboration, ensure efficient operations, and ensure processes are standardized and well documented. You'll bridge the gap between development and operations, enabling seamless workflows and continuous improvement. If you're passionate about automation, infrastructure management, and solving complex challenges, this role is for you! This position is based in Dallas and is expected to be in-office five days a week.
What you'll do...
Infrastructure Provisioning:
Utilize Terraform to define and provision infrastructure resources.
Create and manage configurations that describe the desired state of infrastructure components (e.g., virtual machines, load balancers, databases).
Content Distribution Networks: Create, maintain and optimize CDNs for streaming services, interactive TV ads, software packages, and static websites.
Containerized Services: Manage and maintain AWS EKS, Azure AKS, Azure Container Services, and AWS ECS.
Serverless Functions: Maintain and optimize AWS Lambda and Azure Functions.
Supporting Services: Manage relational database services, queueing technology, pub/sub technology, and data storage solutions.
Maintain and update Kubernetes Helm charts to ensure consistent and reliable deployment of containerized applications.
Server Deployment and Maintenance:
Deploy and maintain servers that host applications, ensuring their availability, scalability, and performance.
CI/CD Pipeline Enhancement:
Develop and enhance continuous integration/continuous delivery (CI/CD) pipelines to automate code integration, testing, and deployment.
Collaborate with development teams to streamline the deployment process.
Automation and Scripting:
Implement automation processes using tools like GitHub Actions.
Write scripts (Python, Shell) to automate routine tasks.
Infrastructure Troubleshooting and Optimization:
Analyze complex issues related to infrastructure, deployments, system performance and operations.
Identify bottlenecks, optimize resource utilization, and ensure efficient operations.
Cross-Functional Collaboration:
Collaborate with cross-functional teams to identify solutions.
Security Best Practices:
Ensure secure practices throughout the software development lifecycle.
Monitor and address vulnerabilities, applying necessary patches and updates.
Version Control and Artifact Management:
Experience with version control platforms like GitHub and GitLab.
Utilize Artifactory or similar tools for artifact management.
Operations, Software Releases and Deployment Coordination:
Take ownership of software releases, coordinating deployment and rollout processes.
Collaborate closely with development teams to ensure smooth releases.
Maintain detailed documentation for processes, and configurations.
Qualifications:
Multicloud and Hybrid Networking: Adept at managing and optimizing multicloud and hybrid networking environments.
Standardization: Ability to standardize practices across branching strategies, deployment strategies, and IaC coding practices.
Cloud Service Solutions: Recommend cloud service solutions based on application design and product requirements.
Self-Starter: Proactive in identifying and solving issues to completion.
Team Collaboration: Work effectively as a member of a team, mentor colleagues, receive and share information to foster an environment of continuous learning
Leadership: Comfortable leading projects and communicating with key stakeholders across development teams.
Bachelor's degree in Computer Science, Engineering, or related field.
Experience working in DevOps or CloudOps.
Strong problem-solving skills and ability to work under pressure.

The annual salary range for this position is $110,000.00-$220,000.00
