Freight Handler

Pay: $20/Hour

Location: Sumner, WA

Shift: 7AM-3:30PM

Job Description

We are seeking dedicated individuals to fill the role of Freight Handler. This position requires candidates to perform a variety of warehouse duties, including loading and unloading freight from containers, palletizing products, and conducting quality checks.

Responsibilities

Hand load and unload freight from inbound and outbound containers.

Pick orders from lower level racking using a push cart.

Verify the contents of packages prior to shipping.

Package contents into boxes.

Ship products in a timely manner.

Maintain high productivity to meet production standards.

Essential Skills

Ability to load and unload freight efficiently.

Experience with paperwork related to shipping and receiving.

Proficiency in palletizing, picking, and packing.

Material handling skills.

Familiarity with RF scanners and warehouse inventory processes.

Additional Skills & Qualifications

Ability to lift 50-75 lbs. repeatedly, with occasional lifting of 120 lbs. between two people.

Attention to detail with reading numbers.

Willingness to unload trucks for the entirety of the shift.

Work Environment

This role is based in a 425,000 square foot warehouse with products stacked on racks in the center and dock doors around the perimeter. Forklifts are constantly in motion within the facility and in and out of containers. The work hours are Monday to Friday, with day shifts from 7am-3:30pm and swing shifts from 3pm-11:30pm.

This is a Contract to Hire position based out of Sumner, Washington.

Pay and Benefits

The pay range for this position is $20.00 - $20.00/hr.
