Job Summary Expedites operations that delay schedules and/or alters schedules to meet unforeseen conditions. Resolves issues related to production, machinery, processing, and/or packaging operations. Ensures quality control standards are maintained. In addition to performing assembly line functions, also calibrates equipment and maintains tools. Major Tasks, Responsibilities and Key Accountabilities Determines schedules, distributes work, routes trucks, and communicates procedures. Interprets machine logs, collects data, sets up new machines for test, trouble shoots machine failures, and interprets error codes. Informs supervisor of staff, safety, defective product or mechanical issues. Ensures all safety standards are met by work group. Preferred Qualifications Extensive knowledge of all @types of machinery. Technical certification or associate degree may be required in some areas. Environmental Job Requirements Typically in a comfortable environment but with regular exposure to factors such as temperature extremes, moving machinery, loud noises, and fumes, which may cause noticeable discomfort or a moderate risk of accident or illness. Requires intermittent periods during which continuous physical exertion is required, such as walking, standing, stooping, climbing, lifting, and maneuvering material or equipment, some of which may be heavy (50+ pounds) or awkward.
