Job Title: Maintenance Mechanic

Job Description

Reporting to the supervisor, the Maintenance Mechanic is responsible for repairs and maintenance of machinery and mechanical equipment. The ideal candidate will have prior general knowledge of manufacturing equipment and can follow both verbal and written instructions.

Responsibilities

Troubleshoot and repair packaging machines, conveyor systems, industrial ovens, freezers

Troubleshoot mechanical, electrical, pneumatic, hydraulic breakdowns and perform repairs maintenance as needed with little or no assistance.

Assist other mechanics with troubleshooting.

Read and understand electrical schematics to locate and troubleshoot components on the equipment.

Maintain knowledge on mechanical, pneumatic, hydraulic, electrical systems and perform maintenance as needed.

Complete changeovers as needed.

Service and maintain equipment including motors, conveyors, production-related equipment, etc.

Rebuild mechanical assemblies such as capper chucks, horizontal bagger clips.

Understand and follow good manufacturing practices (GMPs).

Pay and Benefits

The pay range for this position is $28.00 - $40.00/hr.
