This position will be part of the Enterprise Services team, which delivers a full suite of services to state agencies, boards, councils, and commissions, and many central services to local government partners.
This position requires an employee to be onsite at the Stassen Building (600 N. Robert St., Saint Paul, Minnesota 55416) at least 50% of the time, with some opportunity to perform work from a telework location.

Minimum Qualifications
This position requires a minimum of four (4) years of working with container technologies such as Docker and Kubernetes (or OpenShift, Rancher, etc.)
Experience must include the following:
Strong understanding of Linux systems administration (RHEL, CentOS, Ubuntu, etc.).
Understanding of cloud environments used in state agencies (AWS GovCloud, Azure Government, GCP Public Sector, or private cloud solutions).
Experience with infrastructure-as-code (Terraform, Ansible, Helm) and CI/CD automation.
Understanding of government cybersecurity frameworks and compliance requirements (e.g., NIST 800-53, FedRAMP, CJIS, HIPAA, SOC 2).
Ability to deliver effective verbal or written messages that facilitate a mutual understanding on both parties.
Customer service skills that include active listening, empathy, and problem-solving.
A master's degree in Information Technology or an IT related field substitutes for three (3) years of experience, OR an IT related bachelor's degree substitutes for two (2) years, OR an IT related associate's degree substitutes for one (1) year.
Preferred Qualifications
Bachelor's degree in Computer Science, Information Technology, Cybersecurity, or a related field (or equivalent experience).
Experience with researching and applying analytical skills in evaluating new technologies.
Experience with formal change management tools such as those found in ITIL. Certifications such as CKA (Certified Kubernetes Administrator), OpenShift Certified Specialist, Docker Certified Associate.
Experience working within state or federal government IT environments.
Knowledge of service mesh technologies (Istio, Linkerd, Consul).
Familiarity with logging and monitoring tools (Prometheus, Grafana, ELK Stack, Splunk).
