JOB REQUIREMENTS

Education

Graduate of accredited Physical Therapy program. Must be licensed in the state to practice Physical Therapy.

Experience

Prefer one year of physical therapy experience. Must have high level cognitive and perceptual skills.

Physical

Therapist must be able to perform the following physical job functions with or without reasonable accommodation: Lift up to 50 lb. from floor to knuckle occasionally; Lift up to 25 lbs from knuckle to shoulder occasionally; Lift p to 10 lb from knuckle to shoulder frequently; Lift up to 10 lb. overhead occasionally; Pivot transfer up to 200 lb. occasionally. Carry up to 20 lb., 100 feet occasionally; Push/pull up to 75 lb., 500 feet frequently. Stand continuously for up to 2 hours; Use fine hand manipulation bilaterally occasionally; Use heavy grasp bilaterally frequently; Visually acuity corrected to 20/20; Tactile discrimination; Squat frequently; Maintain appropriate body mechanics with all lifting/ pulling/ transferring.

JOB SUMMARY

The Physical Therapist is directly responsible to the Director and/or his/her designee and has the overall direction, utilization, supervision, instruction, and evaluation of professional and supportive staff, volunteers, and students in their area of the department/facility.
