Job Title: Conduit Bender

$21.51/hr.

Friday-Sunday: 5a-5p

Job Description

This position is responsible for all final assembly phases of transformers, switchgear, reactors, and related electrical equipment. It involves installing and routing electrical conduit, including control and accessory wiring, interpreting blueprints, and following instructions with a strong focus on quality and safety.

Responsibilities

Install and route electrical conduit, including control and accessory wiring.

Interpret blueprints and follow verbal and written instructions with attention to quality and safety.

Assemble junction boxes, control panels, and electrical components.

Use hand, power, and pneumatic tools proficiently.

Perform basic measurements and shop math.

Apply labels, decals, and perform paint touch-ups for a clean finish.

Identify and correct non-conformance issues.

Work at heights using ladders or scaffolding; moderate lifting required.

Maintain a clean, organized work area and meet daily production goals.

Adhere to all safety rules, company policies, and supervisor directives.

Essential Skills

Minimum 1 year of experience in a heavy industrial or manufacturing environment.

Strong mechanical aptitude and proficiency with power and electrical tools.

Self-motivated with a strong work ethic.

Ability to meet and exceed job responsibilities.

Additional Skills & Qualifications

Experience in transformer or electrical equipment manufacturing.

Ability to read blueprints and perform shop math.

Crane and forklift operation experience.

Familiarity with industry standards for electrical equipment.

Work Environment

This role is based in an inside shop environment. The schedule is Friday through Sunday, from 5 a.m. to 5 p.m.

This is a Contract to Hire position based out of Roanoke, Virginia.

Pay and Benefits

The pay range for this position is $21.51 - $21.51/hr.
