Job Title: Construction Technician (Entry Level)

We are seeking a motivated and reliable Construction Laborer/Material Handler to join our team. This role offers hands-on experience in a fast-paced ironworking environment, with exposure to various workstations and production processes. Ideal candidates will have a strong work ethic, a willingness to learn, and a background in construction or general labor

Key Responsibilities

Assist with the handling and movement of steel and iron materials using forklifts, overhead cranes, and other equipment.

Support ironworkers by preparing materials, staging tools, and maintaining a clean and organized work area.

Load and unload deliveries, verifying materials against shipping documents.

Operate saws and other cutting tools to prepare materials to specified lengths.

Rotate through various stations including fabrication, layout, and assembly to gain broad exposure to ironworking processes.

Follow safety protocols and contribute to a culture of safety on the job site.

Essential Skills

Experience in construction, general labor, or material handling.

Familiarity with basic hand and power tools.

Ability to read and interpret blueprints or shop drawings is a plus.

Strong attention to detail and ability to follow instructions.

Comfortable working in a physically demanding environment.

Preferred Qualifications

OSHA 10 and Hot Works certifications (required prior to start; assistance available).

Willingness to be cross-trained in multiple areas of the shop and field operations.

Previous experience with steel or iron materials is a plus.

Work Environment

Based in Rowley, MA, with daily reporting to the shop.

Work is primarily indoors with occasional outdoor tasks depending on project needs.

All necessary tools and safety equipment are provided.

Pay and Benefits

The pay range for this position is $18.00 - $23.00/hr.
