Description We are looking for a dedicated Accounting Clerk to join our team in Antioch, California, on a Contract-to-Permanent basis. In this role, you will play an essential part in managing financial transactions, ensuring accurate recordkeeping, and supporting daily accounting operations. This is a hybrid position requiring in-office presence 2 to 3 days per week for cash deposit handling and other responsibilities.

Responsibilities:

Process and record accounts payable transactions, ensuring timely and accurate payments.

Reconcile financial accounts to maintain accurate and up-to-date financial records.

Handle daily bank deposits and ensure proper documentation for cash transactions.

Manage accounts receivable tasks, including invoicing and payment tracking.

Perform data entry with precision, maintaining the integrity of financial information.

Process and verify invoices, resolving any discrepancies promptly.

Utilize QuickBooks and Microsoft Excel to support financial reporting and analysis.

Collaborate with the team to ensure compliance with accounting policies and procedures.

Assist in preparing financial reports and documentation as needed. Requirements - Proven experience in accounts payable, accounts receivable, or a similar accounting role.

Proficiency in QuickBooks and Microsoft Excel.

Strong attention to detail and accuracy in data entry and financial recordkeeping.

Knowledge of account reconciliation and invoice processing.

Ability to handle daily cash deposits and maintain proper documentation.

Effective communication and organizational skills.

Familiarity with general accounting principles and practices.

Ability to work independently and as part of a team in a hybrid work environment.
