Description We are looking for an experienced Attorney with a strong background in elder law and estate planning to join our team on a contract basis. This role offers the flexibility of remote work and part-time hours, making it ideal for professionals seeking a dynamic yet adaptable schedule. As a key contributor, you will assist in legal drafting and ensure compliance with jurisdictional requirements.
Responsibilities:
Draft and review legal documents, including estate planning and elder law materials, with precision and attention to detail.
Utilize legal drafting software to create templates and transition documents from standard formats into customized systems.
Collaborate with attorneys to translate their notes and design ideas into comprehensive legal documents.
Ensure all documents comply with jurisdictional differences and legal standards.
Provide support for probate-related matters, while helping the firm enhance its capacity in this area.
Manage and organize case files using document and case management software.
Work closely with paralegal staff to streamline workflows and improve document preparation processes.
Review and finalize power of attorney documentation to ensure accuracy and legal validity.
Maintain open communication with the team to address questions and provide updates on assigned tasks. Requirements - Minimum of 3 years of experience in elder law, estate planning, or related legal fields.
Proficiency in legal drafting tools, including Adobe Acrobat and case management software.
Knowledge of estate planning, probate law, and probate administration processes.
Strong organizational skills with the ability to manage multiple tasks and deadlines effectively.
Familiarity with jurisdictional differences and compliance requirements in legal documentation.
Experience working with document management systems and interactive legal software.
Excellent written and verbal communication skills.
Ability to work independently in a remote, part-time capacity.
