Description

Our client in the South Denver area is currently seeking a Legal Assistant with a background in Family Law to join their dynamic legal team. The ideal candidate will be detail-oriented, highly organized, and able to manage a fast-paced workload while maintaining empathy and professionalism with clients. Key Responsibilities:

Draft and prepare legal documents including pleadings, motions, discovery, and correspondence

File documents with courts and ensure compliance with court procedures and deadlines

Manage attorney calendars, schedule client meetings, court dates, and mediations

Communicate with clients, courts, and opposing counsel in a professional manner

Maintain and organize case files both electronically and in paper format

Assist attorneys in trial preparation and during hearings, as needed

Perform administrative duties such as answering phones, managing emails, and handling billing tasks

Requirements - At least 1 year of experience as a legal assistant, with a focus on family law.

Familiarity with court rules, procedures, and filing processes.

Proficiency in Microsoft Office Suite and legal practice management software.

Strong written and verbal communication skills, coupled with excellent organizational abilities.

Ability to manage confidential information with a high degree of discretion.

A proactive and collaborative attitude combined with the ability to work independently.

Colorado Notary certification or willingness to obtain it within 60 days of starting.

Experience with e-filing, calendaring, and drafting motions in a legal setting.
