Job Title: Order Entry SpecialistJob Description

This position is temporary until the end of 2025 to cover employees on leave. There is potential for long-term opportunities depending on market changes at the end of the year. The Order Entry Specialist will be responsible for processing orders and providing follow-up on existing orders, primarily through written communication via email.

Responsibilities

Manage incoming orders, clarify parts, and route to the proper personnel.

Efficiently process orders within the ERP system and online customer portals.

Enter customer information into online portals.

Interface with the parts warehouse on internal purchase orders and deliveries, including expedited processing for urgent requests.

Communicate with customers on status changes for their orders that may impact expected and requested delivery dates.

Work with other departments such as purchasing, logistics, accounting, and sales in a timely and professional manner.

Perform other duties as assigned.

Essential Skills

Proficient in Microsoft Office.

Experience in data entry or order entry.

Additional Skills & Qualifications

Ability to work in a busy office setting, staying on task efficiently and accurately while processing orders and corresponding with customers.

Work Environment

The role is based in an office setting within a manufacturing facility, with minimal need to visit the manufacturing floor. The working hours are Monday to Friday, 9:00 am to 6:00 pm, with a one-hour lunch break. There is flexibility for a 30-minute lunch break with a 9:30 am start time, with attendance required until 6:00 pm. The dress code is business casual, with jeans permitted on Fridays.

Pay and Benefits

The pay range for this position is $22.00 - $22.00/hr.
