THE POSITION
Are you team oriented and passionate about ensuring that children have an opportunity for healthy growth and development? Blair County Children, Youth, and Families (CYF) is looking for a Children & Youth Assistant Administrator 1 to serve as a Program Manager with our administrative team. Join us for the chance to share your administrative and supervisory skills with other professionals who collaboratively provide the resources needed to strengthen families and ensure the safety, permanency, and well-being of children!
DESCRIPTION OF WORK
In this role, you will oversee and coordinate the delivery of services to strengthen families and protect the rights and welfare of children in our community. Your responsibilities will involve consulting and collaborating with direct services supervisors, caseworkers, and support staff regarding case specific or position related concerns and needs, as well as encouraging and supporting the implementation and practice of agency practice standards and initiatives. Our team will rely on you to monitor referrals made to external providers; review and authorize payment of invoices; and ensure staff supervision, training, learning, and mentoring occur to achieve a high-performance organization that delivers customer-driven public child welfare services. You will also support our team by assisting in any area of service delivery or problem resolution as needed.
As a member of the administrative team, you will help develop and sustain the vision and mission that guides the direction and administration of the CYF department. This includes development and implementation of departmental goals, initiatives, programs, and budget with approval by the administrator; participating in interdepartmental and/or cross-functional collaboration, communication and problem-solving; and ensuring compliance with all applicable federal, state, and county laws, regulations, policies and procedures. Work Schedule and Additional Information:
Full-time employment
Work hours are 8:00 AM to 4:00 PM, Monday - Friday, with a 60-minute lunch.
Telework: You will not have the option to telework in this position.
Salary: In some cases, the starting salary may be non-negotiable.

REQUIRED EXPERIENCE, TRAINING & ELIGIBILITY
QUALIFICATIONS
Minimum Experience and Training Requirements:
Three years of experience in the field of public or private social work, including one year working with children and youth in an administrative or supervisory capacity; and a bachelor's degree;or
Any equivalent combination of experience and training.

A conditional offer of employment will require drug screening.
This position falls under the provisions of the Child Protective Services Law.
