The Budget and Finance Office of Hood River County is seeking to fill a
full-time Financial Accountant role. This position will work closely
with the Director, Budget and Finance performing work in maintaining a
balanced general ledger. Additionally, this role will prepare accounting
entries by compiling and analyzing account information, documenting
financial transactions by entering account information and preparing
journal entries and substantiating financial transactions by auditing
documents. This position will be required to review the preparation of
payroll and accounts payable data; providing back-up as necessary. This
role will assist the Director and auditors with the annual audit.
Additional duties will include the review periodic tax collection
turnovers, balancing the daily revenue turnovers to deposit detail and
resulting financial reporting. Flexible work arrangements possible.

selected candidate will have completed four years of post-high school
education in accounting and have a minimum of 2 years hands on
experience in accounting in a financial office. Salary: \$32.58 -
\$48.23/hour \' depending on experience with a generous employee benefit
package, including health, medical, dental, vison, personal holiday,
paid sick leave, paid vacation, paid holidays and 100% contribution
toward Oregon Public Employee Retirement System (PERS).
