Position Overview: As a Transducer Manufacturing Lab Technician, you will play a crucial role in supporting the production of capital equipment used in semiconductor manufacturing. You'll collaborate with cross-functional teams to ensure the reliability, efficiency, and performance of our transducers and ensure the meet the specific customer and Sonix specifications.
Responsibilities:
Assembles and attaches mini-electronic components and crystals onto silica glass components for the production of discrete acoustic frequencies.
Uses High Precision automated lapping and measuring equipment to create precision part dimensions within very specific acoustic ranges.
Proficient at precision soldering, wire bonding, epoxy mixing, potting and other lab/assembly processes in support of transducer manufacturing.
Become proficient at testing of transducers to ensure they meet exact customer quality and repeatability specifications for frequency and signal strength.
Reads instructions, blueprints and drawings to enable assembly of acoustic transducers.
Collaborate with engineering, manufacturing, and quality assurance teams to troubleshoot problems, identify root cause and implement improvements.
Help maintain and improve existing training documentation for future technicians.
Position Summary: Performs all production tasks needed to build, test, trouble-shoot and repair Acoustic Transducers.
Perform production tasks as necessary in support of production schedules and quality expectations in the manufacture and assembly of Sonix Acoustic Transducers. Responsibilities include manufacturing of sensitive electronic equipment, precision mechanical and electrical system assembly, basic documentation, and troubleshooting toward Root Cause and Corrective Action. Candidates will need to be proficient in a high-precision manufacturing and assembly process.
Qualifications:
Strong precision lab and/or electronics assembly experience.
Experience reading and interpreting manufacturing instructions, diagrams and schematics.
Experience using lapping and lab measuring equipment is helpful.
Troubleshooting skills with a focus on root cause analysis.
Excellent communication skills.
Strong Written, Verbal and Interpersonal skills.

Pay Range
The salary range for this position in local currency is $27-$35hr
