Description We are looking for an experienced Accounts Payable Supervisor/Manager to lead and optimize the accounts payable operations for our organization in San Antonio, Texas. This role is an exciting opportunity for a dedicated individual to oversee a dynamic team, ensuring all financial processes are accurate, efficient, and in compliance with regulations. The ideal candidate will bring strong leadership abilities, extensive experience in accounts payable, and a passion for driving operational improvements.

Responsibilities:

Oversee daily accounts payable operations, ensuring timely and accurate processing of invoices, payments, and reconciliations.

Lead and mentor a team of 10 accounts payable professionals, fostering a collaborative and results-driven culture.

Develop and implement policies and procedures to enhance efficiency and maintain compliance with financial regulations.

Collaborate with cross-functional teams to resolve vendor issues and ensure seamless payment processes.

Monitor and improve internal controls to safeguard financial accuracy and integrity.

Facilitate the preparation and submission of 1099 reports and other regulatory filings.

Utilize accounting software and tools, such as Workday and AvidXchange, to streamline processes and improve reporting.

Conduct data analysis using advanced Excel functions, including pivot tables, to support financial decision-making.

Stay informed about industry trends and best practices to drive continuous improvement within the accounts payable department.

Support organizational growth and transformation by managing process changes and system enhancements. Requirements - Bachelor's degree in accounting, business administration, or a related field is preferred.

At least 10 years of progressive experience in accounts payable, including 1099 reporting, with 3 or more years in a leadership role.

Demonstrated ability to manage and develop a high-performing team with strong mentoring skills.

Proficiency in accounting software, with experience in Workday and AvidXchange highly desirable.

Advanced knowledge of Microsoft Excel, including pivot tables and data analysis functions.

Excellent communication skills, both written and verbal, for effective collaboration with internal teams and external vendors.

Strong understanding of financial regulations and internal controls within the accounts payable function.

Ability to adapt to organizational changes and drive process improvements in a fast-paced environment.
