Job Title: Electrical Project Manager

Job Description

We are seeking an experienced Electrical Project Manager who will oversee and supervise activities related to the planning and monitoring of commercial and industrial construction projects.

You will be the lead for pre-construction meetings to ensure a successful handoff from estimating to field operations, manage financial aspects through ongoing job forecasting, and develop budgets for ERP and timekeeping systems.

Responsibilities

Lead pre-construction meetings to facilitate a seamless transition from estimating to field operations.

Manage all financial aspects of the project through ongoing job forecasting.

Extract cost and labor hours from job estimates to develop budgets for ERP and timekeeping systems.

Develop and maintain project schedules that align with customer timelines and identify electrical installation tasks.

Develop purchase orders including pricing, bill of materials, billing requirements, freight requirements, and required dates.

Prepare and process submittals per contract documents or customer requirements for review and approval.

Develop subcontractor agreements including pricing, scope of work, insurance requirements, schedule, and contract documents.

Prepare contract documents such as drawings, specifications, scope of work, and schedules.

Essential Skills

Proficiency in electrical project management and estimation.

Experience with MEP (Mechanical, Electrical, and Plumbing) systems.

Knowledge of NFPA 70E standards.

10 or more years of progressively responsible experience in the electrical construction industry, focusing on commercial and industrial large construction projects.

OSHA 30 certification.

Additional Skills & Qualifications

High School Diploma or GED required.

Bachelor of Science degree in Engineering, Construction Management, or similar studies preferred.

Work Environment

The role is based onsite at the Brockport office.

You will be part of a smaller team, consisting of 5-6 office personnel and 20-25 field technicians.

The company focuses on middle-range commercial projects, such as hotels and grocery stores, with plans to expand into the Buffalo market.

Pay and Benefits

The pay range for this position is $40.00 - $45.00/hr.
